the crowded back table was filled by jill, rex, jamie, dusty, his wife, adam, aaron, jeffry lee, and timmy.
adam's girlfriend danielle flew in friday night to participate in the weekend fun, and arrived just as we were finishing dinner! there was a bit of food left for her, so she wasn't out of luck. it was nice having her there and finally meet her in person!
at the rehearsal dinner i gave the guys gifts for being in the wedding. diana had some gifts for the girls too. the girls got some girly stuff (i'm not exactly sure what, but i'm sure it was girly...), and i gave all six of the guys the same things: the book '
the bro code' by barney stinton, which is tied in with 'how i met your mother', one of my favorite shows! the book is a list of different rules that guy friends must follow if they want to stay friends. it really funny and something that i thought each of the guys should read and commit to memory! in each of their copies of the book i wrote a little note thanking them for being a good friend and stuff. i also gave them the book '
a scandalous beauty' by thomas schmidt. its a serious book about faith. its a collection of short essays written by the author based on different subjects, everything from the real character of paul, to what heaven may really be like. it is a very beautifully written book that i found to be very encouraging and inspiring. they really dug the books, so it was a success!
