crown candy

its pretty unassuming and not exactly in the best part of town, but what a cool little place!
sitting in our little booth, ready for some tasty food!
bring on the egg salad sandwiches!

downtown walk

a delicious lunch at a fancy moon café.
yum yum, cutie!  please note her beautiful new necklace.
apparently john Goodman is from st. louis!  this shopping area even had its own 'walk of fame' with stars and plaques lining the sidewalk the whole way down the street.
a view of the beautiful part we walked around in.
one of the plaques said that this is where one of the world's fair's took place.
beautiful!  the scenery is pretty too...
a cool glass arboretum and sculpture garden.

off to st. louis

the view from our hotel.
a panorama shot from the window.
stopping for lunch and lookin' cute!
oh so cute!
we didn't really take a ton of pictures.  the trip was just for us, so we didn't think to take a bunch of pictures to share.

birthday red robin 2

my amazing wife during one of the few quite moments we got that day!
he got a spongebob balloon too, but for some reason it was not doing what he wanted it to.
some delicious ice cream for the birthday boy!
savannah got some delicious ice cream too!
auntie is always in for some goofiness!
the two of them even got to get something from the toy machines!

birthday red robin 1

as we waited for our seat, savannah showed off her driving skills.
ledger, eager to open up the special birthday gift!
he was so pleased by his special gift from his best friend!
look at that smile!

birthday bounce

ledger loved the crazy bounce mascot painted in the lobby.
going down the tiger slide!
the photo is not blurry, that just the way ledger was while we were there- a crazy energy blur!
trying to put the bungie as tight as he could!
oh no- the tiger got him!

7th birthday party with brinks

this was, by far, the highlight of his visit!
having fun with the whole family around the table.
ledge was pretty pleased that all this was for him!
a happy birthday boy with his mema and papa!

science night at school

one of the older kids showing ledger how to mix together the ingredients to make slime.
playing with one of the robots that follows any path you draw.
reading the instructions for making his own drawing robot.
ledger and savannah watching as their drawing bots make some cool designs!
I got slimed!  good thing its still in the bag...
