i put poco in his little room and the kids felt a lot better about seeing him.the kids and i 2
aves watching the sing-a-long video they had gotten from the church library the weekend before. she was entranced, and even sang along with some of them!
one new development since i had last visited was tweet's bed! since our wedding she got a real bed! wow, she is growing up so quickly. well, we decided that we would all try it out and see how comfy it is! this is such a cute picture, especially tweets as she pretends to sleep like the rest of us, but cant help looking up at the camera!
one of the things that i promised the kids today was that we would go over to mema and papa's house and meet poco. the kids love to hear about poco and to see pictures, but they had never actually met him before!

jackson and tweets were quite scarred of him when i brought him out of the basement, refusing to pet him. but aves, always willing to try anything, came right up to him and pet him right way! over the course of our time there the other two kids got better about it and actually did pet him, but were terriffied the whole time!

when we came home friday we knew we would be in town for a couple nights. there was no way we could leave poco in indiana by himself for that long, so we convinced mom and papa to allow us to bring him just this once to see how it goes, to see if he behaves himself.we figured the best place for him to be while we were out was in the laundry room, that way there wouldnt be any carpet that he could mess up.
diana and mom doing some of the laundry. don't get the wrong idea, i did some laundry too, but just didn't get a picture of it. promise.
other random events
a few other things happened in the weeks following our return home, but aren't really big enough to have their own post, but for some reason i do have pictures of them, so i figured i'd include a quick list!
we made cookies!!! i had to bring treats to school that week, so we spend the night before baking some cookies. they sure made the house smell amazing!
ugh. we had problems with the kitchen sink draining ever since we got home. finally i caved and called a plumber. i think half of our life saving went to pay this guy (at least thats how it felt...)
each year at school we have a special 'service day' where all the kids go to different places in the community and help out. i went with some of the 8th graders to meals on wheels. here are the guys with really lovely hair nets freezing to death in the walk in freezer!
