a few other things happened in the weeks following our return home, but aren't really big enough to have their own post, but for some reason i do have pictures of them, so i figured i'd include a quick list!
we made cookies!!! i had to bring treats to school that week, so we spend the night before baking some cookies. they sure made the house smell amazing!
ugh. we had problems with the kitchen sink draining ever since we got home. finally i caved and called a plumber. i think half of our life saving went to pay this guy (at least thats how it felt...)
each year at school we have a special 'service day' where all the kids go to different places in the community and help out. i went with some of the 8th graders to
meals on wheels. here are the guys with really lovely hair nets freezing to death in the walk in freezer!
each year our school has an annual auction. its meant to raise money for tuition assistance. there is always a ton of stuff up for auction given by families, or local businesses. this year we raised almost one hundred thousand dollars!
