the last visit: cheers

chilling out at cheers!

the last visit 4

saturday afternoon we just took it easy and hung out. jeffry lee got an early start on the night... its five o'clock somewhere, right?
at one point we got into a big discussion about technology five years from now and aaron pointed out an article in wired magazine that backed up his position in the discussion. he told jeffry lee to read it before the conversation continued.
ah, a breakfast of champions!

the last visit: bad hair

i wore this hat all saturday, so by saturday night my hair was looking pretty terrible, so i figured i would get a few pictures of how bad it looked!
it tried to stick up in the back. nice, huh?
oh, now thats a nice greasy look!
i look so swave and debonair...
certainly my favorite of the bunch- its got a nice swirl to it...

the last visit: scarf demo

jeffry lee asked me how do you wear a scarf. i told him there is a looping technique, but i also wanted to show him. the only thing availible was some packaging plastic, so the demonstration began:

having a bit of trouble at first. perhaps packaging plastic isn't the best option for this particular demonstration...
ah! i actually got it to work!
looks nice, huh?
there is one unfortunate side effect: it turns you into a monster!!!

the last visit 1

aaron playing with jeffry lee's mp3 player.
jeffry lee takes a break from putting on his shoes to show me his tounge. very thoughtful of him.
we went to bennigans for dinner and aaron was really keen on his hand making this shape, so i made sure to snap a picture for posterity.
taking a break from eating to smile at the camera!

mr. clean

cleaning the living room looks so much better with the new floor!
it had been too long since i last cleaned the stove top- it looks brand new!
if you look closely you will notice that the clean dishes are drying on the counter- thats how you know when i'm serious about cleaning!

book fair '09

each year our school has a book fair. the first year we had one i offered to make decorations for it, and now i am expected to make them each time! i don't mind though, its always nice to be able to be creative!
each year they have a different theme for the book fair, last year's theme was 'take a reading road trip' (which i posted about here), this year its 'lights! camera! book fair!'. i figured i would make a bunch of movie lights, a couple movie cameras, a ton of stars, and some movie film rolling out. it turned out pretty good for starting the day it was due...
i set up the film to make it look like it was coming out of the camera and then it exploded out to include a bunch of stars.
a couple movie lights and stars.
another roll of movie film rolling out. over all it turned out pretty good!

rock and rolling video

jeffry lee mildly rocking out on the drums.

rock and rolling 2

nick, who is actually a good guitar player, was some what able to translate those skills to this game, which he had never played before.
the groupies (barbara and diana) watch along.
all of us having a great time!

rock and rolling 1

oops! i still had my night mode on on the camera, so this one is a bit washed out...
there. thats a bit better. nick is rocking the guitar, rex is singing, and jeffry lee is banging the drums!
freddie playing the axe.

fridays

jeffry lee gazing longingly into his phone.
rex, bethany and aaron enjoying the chatter at fridays.
diana and barbara looking at a phone.

one of each 2

mom and papa enjoying the selection.
diana's mom and step dad were glad they came up and had a great time.
i asked my mom to take a picture of diana and i, but it was a bit shaky...
papa gave it a try, but it wasn't much better...

one of each 1

there were a ton of people there, some were really planning ahead! one couple was there planning for a summer wedding- summer of 2010!
they had a ton of food, and all of it was pretty good!
the taste testing was at the banquet hall that they own, which is the same one that dusty and carrie had their reception at.

tacos, sans meat

barbara likes to wear her tie-dyed apron when she is cookin in the kitchen.
nick was put in charge of cutting up the veggies.
a feast fit for a king!

my lobster valentine

the place was packed with couples! we sat in a huge corner booth which usually sits 6 to 8, and it was just the two of us. i don't think i saw a group of more than two in the whole place!
random glass of water.
i took a picture of diana and i, but diana complained that when i take pictures of us you can never tell where we are. i took another one, but she felt embarassed by me holding the camera high up in the air, so she decided not to look at it while i took the shot... silly girl!

it's looking up 2

diana's mom and step dad's beautiful lake house.
they have been busy building a new garage on the house. looks like they are just about done!
it's kind of hard to see, but their backyard is right on the lake, they have a dock and boat and everything! (it's kind of hard to use in this weather though...)
