before we put the walls on, there were a few open spaces that were going to be covered up for good. i thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to hide something in there! i went in side and found this little guy, a fearsome figure to guard our shed. i know i wont ever have to worry about the shed because i have a fully armed red transformer keeping watch...

the walls are done once we put the gables in place.

we got the roof half shingled.

i got up on the roof too and wanted to get a shot of the top of my house. a sight i dont see too often!

the last thing we took care of saturday was putting the lock on the door, that way we wouldnt have any hobos jumping off the train and trying to move in or anything...

i wanted to do something fun on the shed and saw an opportunity. all the framework on the outside is going to be covered up, so i figured id have a little fun with it. right above the door frame i wrote a special little message...

our temporary workshop for the day. we used these saw horses and measured out all the wood so that it would fit just right.

two pieces up! this thing is really starting to take shape.

papa even let me feel usefull for a bit and let me do some cutting! he seems to trust me more than i would...

papa had already built the walls by the time i came home, i just helped him raise them up.

all four walls up- this thing is really starting to take shape! i call it 'the cube of storage'!

papa even got a peep hole for my door- now diana and i will be able to know ahead of time if its just solicitors and can avoid the whole situation.

playground

i was asked to make decorations for the playground equipment fundraiser. i only had about a day, so i created a few playground pieces, and about 15 little kids decked out for winter.

she has this set of photos up in the hallway of their house, and i think it is so cute! they have a banner reading 'all because two people fell in love' and surrounded by pictures of their family.
