lately the sky has been looking really cool. so i took some pictures. here they are for your enjoyment.
over the past couple weeks the train company has been replacing the railroad tracks in my back yard. it hasnt been a problem at all, they are no louder than the trains that pass through all the time. when they replaced all the wooded rail ties they just piled them up in my back yard. i thought it looked kind of cool, so i took a picture.

this second picture was from our service day that we started this year. i went out with about 4 guys and we cleaned up a local park. it was a lot of fun and a great way to spend a day away from class!
she's a beauty, huh?
needless to say, i am fairly excited...
this was the number i was in line. there were only eight available, so i got pretty lucky
the contents layed out

my parents got a new digital camera about a year ago. when they got it they asked me if i would like the old one. i said yes, even though i didnt have anything to load then onto (no computer at the time...). this weekend when i went home i decided to take them up on that offer, so now i have an old digital camera! im not sure yet if this computer will read it because my dad lost the program disk that came with it. so, maybe i wont have new pictures... but if it does work i will be able to put up some more current pics! heres to hoping!
i dont get to do much drawing these days. actually, let me rephrase that. i dont like to do much drawing these days, but when i get the inspiration it sometimes turns out fairly well. matt asked me to make a design for the school's sports summer camp shirt. so i did. heres what i came up with. its pretty busy and full, but i kind of like it. the camp is for soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track. so i put the three balls near the bottom, and i put a running track around the words like a saturn ring. the school name became a banner at the top, and the school mascot was put at the bottom. it will be a royal blue shirt with the design in black and white. not my best, but a my first real attempt at shirt design since i left art behind.
my hero and me. this is a picture of the joy electric show i went to with aaron, rex, and jeffry lee way back in november (im a little slow in developing my pictures...). it was an awesome concert, and it was even cooler because i got there way too early. i was early enough to see ronnie martin and a couple other guys just hanging around out front of the building before the show. i went over there and actually got to chill and chat with him for about a half hour! it was totally awesome!!!
here is a picture of my brother, fresh off the plane from mississippi, holding my dear sweet nephew. its not a very good photo, but its the only one ive got lying around. this is an older shot, i think its from the first time he came home after he was done with training. after a few weeks at home, he headed off to the great country of germany.
i have no idea what this is, but i love it. this would probably fit better in bob's blog, but i figured id use it anyway...
awesome! aaron had this stored away on his computer from all the way back in 1999! dang... this is a picture i took back in college of a totally rad statue i made of Nibble Bob. if you are wondering who Nibble Bob is, then you dont belong here looking at these pictures. if you do know who he is, then you are welcome here any time!

a buddy of mine asked me to make a few sketches for this kids show hes working on. i figured i would give it a try. some i am happier with than others...
this one is for some kind of strange plant guy that he wanted me to try my hand at. he wasnt sure if he wanted the character to be a hanging plant, or the whole body thing. so i tried them both. heres the basket one, the full body one is at the end of the post.
